Presto has been serving up the good stuff since 2013, when chefs Josslyn Jenkin and Lucy Von Stanke joined forces to create a standout cafe with city-quality food and homegrown hospitality.
What began as a small takeaway-only spot has become an award-winning brunch destination, loved by locals and visitors alike.
Now with Beth and Nathan Reid at the helm, Presto continues to bring people together for food, community and connection.

Hi, I’m Beth
Like so many locals, Presto was my favourite lunch spot long before I ever imagined owning it. The food, the vibe, the awesome coffee… it ticked all my boxes.
Fast forward to the chaos that was 2020, and I started batch-cooking wholesome, made-from-scratch meals for my family - anything to make weeknights a little easier! Fefore I knew it, friends and neighbours were asking me to cook for them too, and Mother’s Meals was born.
The business grew quickly (it turns out lots of people needed a hug on a plate!) and suddenly my little home kitchen was a hectic mess. When Presto came up for sale it was the perfect opportunity to take everything I love about food and community, and make it even bigger.
Mother’s Meals became Presto Homestyle and the Presto family is now our own.
